In regard to gameplay, Mass Effect 2 is more action than RPG, and BioWare must have spent many hours perfecting the gunplay because it stands as some of the best from a third-person perspective. ME 2's action-heavy gameplay even stands up to competitors outside the RPG world such as Dead Space and Resident Evil 5. The gameplay is hardly the end of ME 2's brilliance, however, and its various other successes make the entertaining gunfights even more impressive. Ultimately, Mass Effect 2 is one of the most profound, yet also one of the most fun RPGs of the year thanks to its fantastic action gameplay.
