PlayStation 3 RPG of the Year - Nier
There were precious few console-exclusive RPGs for PS3. Most were shared with 360 and PC, though 360 had some exclusive RPGs. Looking at the library of PS3 RPGs in 2010, Nier comes out on top. This Action RPG is certainly unorthodox. The story and characters are unforgettable. So is the soundtrack. And as a game, it's not just a hack-and-slash, since there are sections of the game that become more platformer, more shmup, or even text-based adventure. It's a weird one, but a weird one we at RPGFan have come to love.
