The PSP had many worthwhile RPGs in 2010. Ys SEVEN won our "Best RPG of E3" award, and was also awarded an Editor's Choice award. Falcom took the series in a new direction by becoming a party-based experience instead of the usual Adol-as-sole-hero fare. It's also the first Ys game to truly go for a long-form adventure experience. Most Ys games have about 10 hours' worth of content, But Ys SEVEN takes 20 to 30 hours, and even with recycled areas, players will find themselves experiencing new and wonderful things. The new characters and weapons, the new 3D design, and the epic plot arc make this the best RPG on PlayStation Portable.
Runner-up: Tie between Ys: The Oath in Felghana and Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 Portable
