Best Downloadable Content of 2013:
The Walking Dead: 400 Days (PS3, 360, PC, Mobile)
Writeup by Andrew Barker
It's not much of a stretch to say that The Walking Dead may well be one of the greatest series of adventure games in recent years. The compelling story of Lee, Clementine and their friends managed to carefully balance a sense of gritty survivalist violence and love between close friends and family. With a set of mostly new characters on the scene, 400 Days expands on the world of The Walking Dead with a number of side-stories that show the lives of different survivors. It may not be quite as jaw-dropping as the main games, but it was great while we waited for Season 2. Plus, choices made here will have an impact in the upcoming titles! Good stuff, Telltale.

Runner-up: Borderlands 2: Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep
Runner-up: Borderlands 2: Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep (PC, PS3, 360)
Writeup by Stephen Meyerink
Both the original Borderlands and its sequel delivered lots of quality, well-worth-your-dollars DLC, and in terms of big ol' expansions, Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon's Keep offers just about everything you could want. Featuring a high-fantasy setting fused with the bizarrely self-aware humor of the vanilla Borderlands experience, Tiny Tina's Assault throws you all manner of dragons, skeletons, side quests, new weapons, and even a unicorn that poops rare weapons if you feed it eridium! Truly an experience like none other, the fourth DLC for Borderlands 2 will provide hours of fun for whichever part of your family likes themselves some shoot-n-loot.
