Kickstarter success stories are always a pleasure to hear about, especially when they end up producing games as outstanding as Divinity: Original Sin.
Even though it bears the trappings of a classic computer RPG, Divinity goes so far beyond that in its execution. A robust cooperative experience, deep tactical combat system, and some truly hilarious dialogue make this one for the GOTY books. Oh — and it sure isn't hard on the eyes and ears, either.
It's no secret that the RPGFan staff has an almost universal love for the Persona series. The excellent writing and the complex characters and battle system have drawn us all in, one by one, over the years. Feelings aren't quite as strong about the Etrian Odyssey series, so we all looked on the announcement of Persona Q with some trepidation. Thankfully, the final product showed that the two could be joined up successfully. And uniting the characters from Persona 3 and 4 allowed us to do a little fanshipping with our favorite pretend couples who wouldn't have otherwise met. Er, wait... No, we definitely did not do that.
