The Casualties
As with any game show, there were a few things noticably missing from Square Enix's 2006 press conference. First and foremost, the latest two iterations of the Front Mission series, Front Mission 5 for the PS2 and Front Mission Online for the PS2 and PC were nowhere to be seen. While Front Mission Online was shown at last year's Square Enix booth in video form, our contacts were unable to inform us of the status of the title. Front Mission 5 has simply not been announced for US release. While this is indeed sobering news for Front Mission fans, it may simply be that the games will be announced at a later date.

Also missing was the latest spinoff from the Dragon Quest series, Dragon Quest Shounen Yangus to Fushugi no Dungeon.

Despite these three missing titles, Square Enix still managed to show an incredibly robust series of titles that will keep many gamers extremely happy.
