Oh look, it's me again! Sorry if you expected Liz here (as you should), but she's not feeling so hot tonight, so I offered her my talents.

... not THOSE talents. Geez. Anyway, if you were wondering where Monday's update was, there wasn't one, due to lack of letters. Even now we're (well, Liz) fairly short on letters as you can see, so write in more! Liz needs letters, and you can't really say no to a face like this, can you? I thought not.

I'm not one to dwell on things, and we all know the media has kept last year's events in our face so much a lot of us like myself are probably VERY tired of hearing about it... but yeah, it's been a year since it happened. It really doesn't feel like it's been that long at all, but it has. TV will no doubt contain nothing but 9/11 news and the like tomorrow, and since nobody will have anything interesting to say, I think I'll avoid the TV entirely. Not that I don't care, not at all. But really, it's hard to feel much about the 'anniversary' of the attacks when we're reminded nearly every day by the media ANYWAY. But yeah, light a candle, say a prayer or something... just don't turn on that TV unless you're going to play a game. So much for not dwelling. heh.

Now then, let's get on with this admittedly short update so I can get to bed.

Ah, more Fire Emblem...

Liz! Teach me Japanese so I can play the Fire Emblem games!

You should make a FE website with lots of Roy(and Marth!)
goodness~

-Bacardi

PS. Zelda and Marth forever~

Well, for one thing, if Liz knew enough Japanese for that, she probably would have had an easier time getting into the GBA one. I think. :P

As for that website, personally, I think it needs to be more about Marth. Roy can have a little corner somewhere or something, but we both know who people want to see more of. Booya.

Ask a stupid question...

Where is teh fanfiction, RPGFan!!!??? Where is teh fanfiction.

Hell Rune Bearer "Oh my dear lord..."

- Abraham Liu

Where is it? It's over there in the corner, rotting.

Seriously though... perhaps if we had someone on staff to handle the section, it wouldn't be, but as it stands we're sort of without help in that area.

Why did the animal cross the... I'll shut up.

I sent this e-mail to your general account but did not get a response. I'm assuming no one checks it or you guys don't care. I'm sending it again to letters this time to see if the issue will be picked up.

Regarding Animal Crossing for the GameCube, where is it not covered by your web site? Had it been on-line, it would have been classified as an MMORPG. The players role in the game is to build up their own character, their own town, and interact with others. It's an overhead view game, there are items, and granted there are no dragons to slay, it's closer to an RPG than any other genre, although some could argue it is a genre unto itself.

I suppose to a point AC is a game that we 'could' cover for many of the things you do in the game, but I don't think it ever really struck any of us as RPG-ish enough. Though on the other hand, not all dating sims are either, but we cover all of those. As for being in a genre of its own, that's Nintendo's goal I think, labeling it as a 'communications' game. The concept behind it is rather fascinating I think, and all in all, as you said, might be something we should look into covering. If that online version ends up being released next year as rumor suggests, there's even more of a reason for it.

Oh, and as for thw webmaster/main account, it DOES get checked, but keep in mind we get a lot of mail every day, and it's not always easy to reply to it all. That coupled with a recent spam attack that a few of our accounts got (I really like getting 500 e-mails with 40k attachments within 2 days, I REALLY do), it may have just gotten lost in there somewhere.

Closing Thoughts

And another update is done. Too short? Then help out by sending Liz more letters! As for me, I'll be around if needed again. Meanwhile, I'm going to avoid any and all TV-watching tomorrow, and maybe even nab a copy of Megaman Zero, assuming Best Buy has it in stock. Whoo. Peace out.
