Playstation 2 This Year in Japan?

The UK gaming mag The Edge is reporting that Sony will launch the PSX2 by the end of the year in Japan, December 21st to be exact. We'll have to wait and see, but this one seems to be a bit of a stretch. Considering all the rumors flying about the monstrous hardware involved. Sony has denied this info, so it should be regarded as rumor only.
