Arc the Lad Anime!

Issue 5 of Manga Max, which should be available in the USA on the 28th this month, has a news story on an anime series based on Sony's Arc the Lad RPG.

Arc the Lad the anime is set around the events in the sequel to the first game, and features the same characters. It is directed by Toshiaki Kawasaki, who was responsible for the superb Martain Successor Nadesico, and the story is by Akimi Tsuraizu. Arc the Lad is running now on the Japanese satellite channel WOWOW.

However, I was really looking forward to the Sakura Wars coverage Manga Max 5 was supposed to contain. But it vanished without trace, despite being expected to be a cover feature. The Final Fantasy anime made it to the cover instead, so that's something for RPG fans. However, I know which anime series I'd rather be reading about.
