Chrono Cross Info & Media

Here is some character Information:

Serge - The main hero of the story. He is 17 years of age.

Kid - She is 16 years of age. Not much is known on her. Very stubborn, and won't show her personal side to anyone. She has some relation to Yamaneco.

Yamaneco the Wildcat - This catlike creature is very mysterious. Even his age is unknown.

Also, a quick side note. From the translations we did on Square of Japan's website, Chrono Cross isn't a true sequel of Chrono Trigger. Chrono Cross is a spawn off of the original, in a sense, but since the original team wasn't totally involved, and since the storyline isn't a true continuation, they decided to just go with a similiar name, and not really call it a sequel. The game WILL of course, incorporate a lot of the Chrono Trigger-style gameplay and such, especially in battles and the way the maps and enemy encounters are set up.

We have artwork & a poster as well as one real audio file featuring a small sample of the opening theme.

Chrono Cross is scheduled for a winter 1999 release date in Japan, and has already been announced for the U.S. sometime in 2000.
