Valkyrie Profile Pictures

While most people in Japan are eagerly awaiting the release of Dragon Quest VII, Enix isn't standing by idly and it continues to release other good RPGs thanks to developper Tri-Ace. After Star Ocean: The Second Story, Tri-Ace's new baby is called Valkyrie Profile and it looks like a very promising title.

The first noticeable aspects of Valkyrie Profile are without a doubt the incredible visuals and the very medieval setting (something that you don't see very often in Japanese RPGs). As far as gameplay is concerned, there will be an element of monster raising in the game but centering this time on "human raising". Basically, you will look for souls of ancient warriors to join you in your quest to defeat the gods. In case anybody is wondering, you play the role of a Valkyrie in the game (surprise, surprise).
