Eternal Arcadia Goes Fishing

Eternal Arcadia will have fishing segments much like those found in Zelda and the Breath of Fire series. What makes Eternal Arcadia's fishing mini games unique is that they will support the fishing rod controller that came with Get Bass.

The battles will also have a system that borrows concepts from Evolution and Grandia. Players will be able to position their party around the battle area(similar to Evolution), and then depending on the distance, the effects of an attack will change. Like in Grandia, heavy hitting weapon attacks require a character to be close. Attacking a foe from a vunerable side, such as their backs will deliver even more damage.

Distant attacks won't have as much accuracy and decreased damage. My assumption is it will allow for better defense against enemy retaliation, but this hasn't been described in detail as of yet.

Eternal Arcadia will also include some type of net support. How it will make use of the Dreamcast Modem hasn't been announced yet.
