EverQuest Expands

989 Studios plans to release an expansion pack for Everquest early next year called EverQuest: The Ruins of Kurnark.

As the name suggests, the add-on will offer a new area called Kurnak, found somewhere to the south of Faydwer. There will be several new areas to explore, including beginner and advanced locales in lakes, crypts, caves, towers, and a few other kinds of places. The graphics engine will be improved somewhat, and there will be a new race available.

989 Studios says that the price of the game with the expansion pack being used will remain the same at $9.95 monthly. It's good to see that they are trying to keep the game from becoming redundant over time by adding improvements.
