Shen Mue back on track for '99

Shen Mue is back on track for 1999 Release!

Saying that they fixed the technical difficulties they experienced earlier than expected, Shen Mue is now scheduled to be to released December 29, 1999.

This new release date puts it squarely in the holiday season and will most likely build user base for the Dreamcast to prepare for the Playstation 2, which will launch a mere 3 months after the release of Shen Mue.

Here's the official statement from Sega concerning this matter:

"We would like to thank all the people that have supported the Dreamcast up to this point. We have recently set the release date of the Dreamcast software, Shen Mue Part 1, to be released Decemeber 29, 1999. While we had planned to release the game in the spring of 2000 due to technical difficulties, we solved those problems earlier than expected and decided to release the game earlier in order to please our audience. We would appreciate understanding for similar occurances for future Dreamcast Software."
