Shen Mue Prelaunch Promotions

The What's Shen Mue demo will be available for rent with a Dreamcast unit for the majority of December in Japan from Tsuyata. Doesn't sound all that important right? Well if you happen to be a member of Tsuyata's club(and live in Japan of course), you will be able to rent these two items out for free! Of course Tsuyata will except their stuff back after a few days, but this is definitely a good way for many gamers to at least get a taste of Shen Mue before it hits store shelves later this month.

Tsuyata is also offering the rental of a video called The Unknown World of Shen Mue for free. After the release of the full version of Shen Mue even more promotions will take place, as well as nifty gifts for those who reserve early, such as a Shen Mue bandanna.

Sure many of us who don't live in Japan won't be able to take advantage of any of this whatsoever, but at least Shen Mue is definitely getting some exposure. Although personally I still think that Sega or anyone else looking to cash in on this should show off the "cat raising" mini game as the title's biggest selling point. Ok, ok so that probably wouldn't work...maybe.
