Final Fantasy VIII Sells 6 Million

Square announced today that Final Fantasy VIII has sold more than 6 million units across the globe.

The figure breaks down to: 3.61 million units in Japan, 1.35 million units in North America, and 1.12 million units in Europe and rest of the world.

Square also reports that Final Fantasy VII has sold 7.24 million copies worldwide in its 3 year availability. This in comparison to Final Fantasy VIII's impressive 6 million in such a short amount of time is very impressive to say the least.
