Thursday's News Tidbits
Dragon Quest VII has met with yet another delay. I'm not keeping tabs on this personally, but this has to be one of the most delayed games in history by now. It isn't bad for only the eager gamers who want to get their hands on this either. Because of this latest delay Enix now expects to earn a lot less money for the fiscal year, losing what they estimate to be a little over a billion yen in potential profit. Oh well, there's always next year, maybe Dragon Quest VII will even be out by then.
While on the topic of all that is Dragon Quest, Dragon Warrior Monsters for the Gameboy Color has finally been shipped. Dragon Warrior Monsters follows the exploits of a boy named Terry as he searches for his missing sister. But unlike other games in this series, Terry won't be wearing the latest in armor or using flashy spells. He will instead collect over 200 different monsters which will do the fighting for him Pokemon style.
On the darker side of delays again, SNK has delayed Orge Battle ~ Legend of the Zenobia Prince for the Neo Geo Pocket Color from March 30 to an unknown date in april. Ogre Battle on the go will have to wait just a little longer.
Lastly I thought I would mention that Falcom's site has a nifty little strategy oriented game called that can be downloaded for absolutely nothing at all. While Lord Monarch isn't exactly Langrisser, it is definitely worth a look for the nonexistant price tag. Thanks to Peter Tosco for this information.
