New Shen Mue Info

It was long ago announced that Shen Mue would have multiple chapters in order to cover such a wide scope of a game. Shortly before the release of Shen Mue's first story arc, Sega hinted at the next chapter having no spoken dialouge at all. It would have consisted entirely of facial expressions and body language.

Well apparently that is no longer or never was the case. Shen Mue's second chapter will indeed have full spoken dialouge. But it won't be what you are expecting. Rather than japanese which was all throughout the first chapter, this second one will have all its supporting characters using cantonese. How is that for accuracy?

Sega has already started looking for people in Japan who can speak as well as read cantonese. However this doesn't mean the game will be unplayable. Subtitles will thankfully be included. Looks like Ryo will be a fish out of water this time around. Perhaps he will have to do more speaking with his fists?
