NGPC Strategy RPG on the way

Not too long ago it was revealed that SNK would release a port of Ogre Battle for the Neo Geo Pocket Color, entitled, Ogre Battle: Legend of the Zenobia Prince. Even though this new incarnation of Ogre Battle has a few differences from the original version, it borrows enough from it to show definite similarities.

If that didn't float your boat because you wanted a truly original NGPC strategy game, enter Faselei by SNK. Unlike the world conquering style of Ogre Battle, Faselei resembles a title along the lines of Final Fantasy Tactics or Shining Force. Those familiar with the afformentioned games will immediately recognize the grid system of movement in combat.

Faselei isn't set in a world of fantasy, but rather an advanced futuristic landscape. Characters will wage battles in armored mecha and the like.

SNK is aiming for a release in the United States sometime in March. Faselei may be the NGPC title to beat come next month. That is if you can resist buying yet another fighter for SNK's brawler dominated portable.
