U.S. Lunar 2 packaging & more!

Lunar 2: Eternal Blue Complete will not only match what was included in Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete, but pictures of the packaging show that it will surpass it as any good sequel should.

The stateside release of the game will include the following collectors' items:

  • 1 soundtrack CD featuring arranged and expanded music
  • 1 "Making of Lunar 2" documentary video CD
  • 1 Hardcover Lunar 2 manual and artbook
  • 1 Paper map with stats on the back
  • 1 Full-size gold metallic Lucia's Pendant (apparently the same as the one released by ESP)
  • 4 mini character standees

In addition to these goodies, Working Designs has also announced that those who pay a $20 deposit on the game at participating stores will be able to get an exclusive rare item known as the Punching Puppet Ghaleon. This doll was designed in collaboration with Toshiyuki Kubooka, the character designer for the Lunar series. There are two levered buttons under the robe that, when pressed, cause the corresponding hand to punch! Oddly enough, Punching Puppet Ghaleon's packaging carries Lunar: Silver Star Story's logo.

Lunar 2: Eternal Blue Complete is set for a June/July 2000 release. The punching puppet offer will be available through Electronics Boutique, Funcoland, and Babbages/Software Etc., but may expand to other stores.
