Sakura Taisen 3 New Info and Media!

One of the most anticipated games this year in Japan is Sakura Taisen 3: Paris wa moeteiru ka (which translates to Sakura Wars 3: Is Paris burning?), the next (and possibly last) installment of Red Company's dating/strategy game series. Recently, new information has emerged about the game, which is still scheduled for an Autumn 2000 release in Japan.

One of the new features known is the interaction with the iMode, NTT Docomo's fashionable portable telephone. Since March 21st, iMode users have been able to access the "Sakura Taisen Portable Club", a service featuring lots of Sakura Taisen-related information and games. The latest Sakura Taisen 3 news will be revealed in real-time in this club with the Teigeki Weekly Report. Users will also be able to play Sakura Taisen quizzes, or create exclusive Teikoku Bromides using pre-defined character expressions and clothing. The bromides can be saved and exchanged through the iMode, of course. You can also play mini-games such as Blackjack and Columns.

For those who haven't had a chance to take a look at Sakura Taisen 3 yet, we have 14 screen shots and updated artwork and products. Be sure to also check our movie if you haven't done so! We also have a Sakura Taisen 3 interview right here!

Another interesting piece of news for Sakura fans is the recent unveiling of the casting of Sakura Taisen 3!
From March 13th to April 16th is being held the "Hanagumi Preview", a tour around Japan starting in Fukuoka and ending in Tokyo, featuring conferences and performances by the game's staff and actors. This event, part of the Sakura 2000 Project, was the occasion for Red Company to announce the casting for Sakura Taisen 3. This information has yet to be confirmed officially but as it has already been announced at the Hanagumi Preview and on the Sakura Portable Club, changes in the main cast are very unlikely to happen now. The casting is as follows, you can check the actresses' previous Anime and Game roles in the chart below. Be sure that we will be posting new information on Sakura taisen 3 as soon as it comes up! Thanks for the MVA² Seiyuu Database and Hitoshi Doi's Seiyuu Database for providing some of the seiyuu information for this update.
