Wednesday's News and Media

Atlus announced today that they've officially started development on a new installment to their flagship series Shin - Megami Tensei. Tentatively titled Shin - Megami Tensei 3, it is being developed for the Playstation2. This highly popular series has spawned a large number of spin-off series (Last Bible, Persona, Soul Hackers...), yet it's been six years since Atlus released a real MegaTen title, the last being Shin - Megami Tensei if... in 1994. Given the popularity of Shin - Megami Tensei in Japan, this new title will probably generate a lot of excitement and expectations are likely to run high.

Like we announced yesterday, Sentimental Graffiti 2 has been delayed for the third time. Originally scheduled for January, the game is now supposed to go out on July 25th. Hopefully it will really make it this July. Until then, we have 15 screen shots and 20 pieces of artwork from the game for you to look at.

Another delay is for Ogre Battle Gaiden: Prince of Zenobia, which has been set back from its original April 27th release to a June 22th release. Till then, you can take a look at the game's advertisement here! (The ad still displays the old release date).

Yet another console port of a Japanese PC dating simulation, Comic Party has been announced for the Dreamcast. The game is developed by Aquaplus and Leaf (the creators of To Heart) and has yet to get a release date.

Falcom has revealed more media for their upcoming PC RPG Ys II Eternal (a remake of Ys II). We've got those 20 new screen shots of Ys II Eternal right here!

Kuroi Hitomi no Noir: Cielgris Chronique, which we told you about in an earlier update, is now scheduled for an August 2000 release. We have more media for the Wonderswan game, sequel to Gust's Playstation RPG. Check out our 8 new screen shots, 6 GIFs, the logo art and 6 pieces of art from Cielgris Chronique!

Imadio is going to release PC ports of both of Gust's Alchemist of Salburg series titles, Marie no Atelier and Elie no Atelier. After they were released last december for the Game Boy Color, the games were supposed to be released for the PC in early March but have been delayed to April 28th. The retail price is still 10,800 yens each (approximately US$103). Both games will have Internet support and will include small extras such as desktop accessories.
