New Info on SuikoGaiden!

More information has surfaced on Gensou Suikogaiden Vol. 1: Swordsman of Harmonia. The game turns out to be a "Text Adventure" game rather than a traditional RPG. The game will feature battles scenes and mini-games too, but will be mostly focused on events and dialogue. The story takes place in the world of Suikoden II and is told through the point of view of the main character Nash, a foreigner.

Like previously announced, some of the characters from the Suikoden series will be returning in this side episode: the Hero, Nanami, Jowy, Luca and Jill Blight (amongst others) should make an appearance. It's also been revealed that the game will not, just like the previous Suikoden games, feature any voice acting, to remain consistent with the original games. Suikogaiden Vol. 1: Swordsman of Harmonia has also received a release date, namely September 21st, 2000. You check out some artwork of the game here.

Also, another installment in this side stories series is already planned: Gensou SuikoGaiden Vol. 2 (subtitle unknown), which should be out sometime next spring.
