Final Fantasy IX TV Commercial

It looks like Square is starting to hype up Final Fantasy IX! A number of trailers have now been revealed, after the Coca Cola commercial (see our previous story about it) had first revealed the characters in motion. Today, we have the new TV commercial that started airing yesterday in Japan, as the last phrase "22 days left before the release" indicates.

As one would expect from a Japanese commercial, this one is quirky as can be, and shows limited game footage, rather focusing on the reservation campaign present. The dialogue heard in the commercial is as follows:

FF... 9... Reservations... Are... Only in Convenience stores! Hurry up! ...Nine!
If you reserve Final Fantasy IX from a convenience store, you will receive a Dark Mage Vivi. In Convenience Stores!
Final Fantasy IX... 22 days left before the release.

On a side note, our readers may have noticed that we're encountering yet more problems with our Movies server, forcing us to take down the Movies section. We apologize for the inconvenience and are working to get things sorted out as soon as possible. We will however post newer movies on our main server, and they will be linked from our news articles. Of course, all the movies we previously had will be returning when our problems are fixed. Again, sorry for the inconvenience!
