Eternal Arcadia Name Change
"Eternal Arcadia," has given way to the name "Skies of Arcadia." While shown as Eternal Arcadia at E3, though with 'tentative title' printed underneath the sign, Sega has finally issued the official name change. Sega feels the new name is "much more descriptive of the gameplay and the world in which the adventure takes place." Due to release this November, SoA has over 300 characters to interact with, six virtual lands, 80 customizable air ships (billed "sky ships" by Sega), 16 weapons, 36 magic spells, and a "epic" quest. Anyone else see the Sega of America-Skies of Arcadia connection? Hint: SoA. How about my pathetic attempt at humor? SaD.
Koei will release their new action RPG, Shin Sangoku Musou, for the Playstation 2 on August 3rd for 6800 yen. There are two modes in the game, Musou Mode and Free Mode. Musou Mode is the story mode; the story advances for every level you clear and your character's level increases with experience. In the Free Mode, you can play levels you've previously cleared in Musou Mode.
Shen Mue 2 is rumored to be ready for release by year's end. Apparently since the development of the game engine is what slowed down Chapter One so much, development of the next installment is three to five times faster.
