Wednesday's News Bits

Remember how a GameBoy version of Grandia has appeared on the Nintendo Space World lineup, without anyone knowing more details about the game? Well, it turns out Grandia: Parallel Trippers isn't a GB game after all but rather a Game Boy Advance game. The latest Tokyo Game Show lineup lists it as a Game Boy Advance game, so it most likely is a GBA game, a GBA port being more plausible. Still no word from Hudson -- who is the supposed publisher -- on this game, though.

Namco, one of the most active PlayStation 2 publishers, has announced a new PS2 RPG. Seven: Cavalrymen of Molmoth is the title of this DVD PS2 game scheduled for a Winter 2000 release. Four early screen shots of the game can be found here.

Sony has published a list of the PS games that malfunction when played on a Playstation 2. The list includes Harvest Moon, Monster Farm and Marionnette Company 2. Use caution when trying to run any of these games on a PS2!

Bandai has announced another game adaptation of Blue Submarine 6. After a DC game, this time the CG anime will appear on the Playstation, in a SLG featuring original characters and 40 minutes of full digital anime scenes! Blue Submarine 6: Antarctica is scheduled for a September 28th release. You can check out the first few screen shots here.

It appears Little Princess, the sequel to Rhapsody (known as Marl Oukoku no Ningyouhime in Japan) will get the +1 treatement just as Marl did. Marl Oukoku no Ningyouhime +1 was a lower-price re-release, including a bonus disc with an art gallery, the game's songs, and a playable demo of Little Princess, two of which were included in the US version. As Little Princess: Marl Oukoku no Ningyouhime 2 already featured the Song option on the regular version, the extras may be of another form this time (a preview of the PS2 sequel, maybe?). Without more details specified, Little Princess +1 is scheduled for a late October release at a price of 3,800 yen (about $35).

Enterbrain has gotten a little more clear on the release date of True Love Story 3, a sequel much expected by fans of the series. March of 2001 is the month the game will reach Japanese retailers.

One last call for the Sakura Taisen fans willing to see The Rose of Arabia, the show adapted from Sakura Taisen 2! The show can (temporarily) be viewed once again from this location. You can read more details about the show here and here.
