Ura-Zelda Still On

If you're like most of the world, you've probably forgotten that Nintendo had announced a 64DD only Zelda add-on. However, Shigeru Miyamoto did announce at Space World that the add-on is finished. Only compatible with Ocarina of Time, the upgrade adds new items, levels, and characters, but no online play. Although it's finished, there is no word on when Ura-Zelda will be released.

Enix has announced a sequel to Dragon Quest Monsters for the Game Boy Color, in addition to a rather important, but still unannounced, RPG for Playstation 2. Currently they have no plans to develop for either X-Box or Dolphin.

Nintendo announced two high profile games in development for their new Game Boy Advance. The company is developing both Tactics Ogre Gaiden and Fire Emblem GBA. Both titles were announced at Space World.

Doki-Doki Densetsu, based on the anime series Mahoujin Guru-Guru, is currently being developed by Enix of Japan. Due for release this winter, the Game Boy Color RPG will sport a real time battle system.

While showing Doki-Doki Densetsu and another game, Enix's Star Ocean: Blue Sphere for Game Boy Color was a no show at Space World. However, the game is still scheduled for release this fall in Japan, at 4900 yen.

Although director Hironobu Sakaguchi has constantly reassured that the Final Fantasy Movie would cost only about $70 million, it's rumored that the movie's production budget has swelled to over $150 million. Square intends to offer high yield bonds to investors, to recoup their investment. The Final Fantasy Movie is due for release next summer.

For all of us saddened by the cancellation of Mother 3, Starmen.net has a petition underway to save the long awaited title. Just go over to Starmen.net for more information and to add your name to the petition.
