Skies of Arcadia Movies

Skies of Arcadia is easily the best game I've played in years, and if you haven't snagged your own copy, you're definitely missing out! Not all is lost however, as you can watch some high quality MPEG footage of in-game scenes.

The first movie is the opening trailer (2 Minutes 3 Seconds - 13.5 Megs), making use of the Dreamcast's graphical ability rather than playing a CG movie, and it's very impressive.

The second movie features the pirate Gilder, performing his special attack called 'Gunslinger' (21 Seconds - 2.5 Megs), one of my favorite special attacks in the game. It's worth seeing, it'll probably bring a chuckle out of you, as Gilder gives the Terminator a run for his money.

The third movie shows you what ship-to-ship battles (1 Minute 46 Seconds - 12.6 Megs) are like in the game, showing two battleships, the Delphinus and the Draco, duke it out.

If this isn't enough to satisfy you, we have more coverage of the game, with screenshots, music, additional movies, a great review of the import game, and artwork.
