Final Fantasy X New Character Information

Magazine Weekly Jump has recently unveiled some new information about the characters and seting of Final Fantasy X.

The setting of Final Fantasy X was described as "A world with blue sky and sea, reminiscent of Okinawa." The focus of the story is, apparently, summon magic; the world of FFX is a world where Summoners play a very important part. It seems that the power of the Summoners could even be able to save the world.

The main character is Teeda, a 17 year-old optimistic, sportive young man. Hot-blooded but always cheerful, Teeda is a renowned blitz ball player, a sport described as "underwater ball match".

The heroine is Yuuna, a 17 year old young woman with a firm personality. Being the daughter of a world-renowned summoner, Yuuna has high summoner abilities deep inside her.

Final Fantasy X is due out in Japan in March and will be, unsurprisingly, the first one of the series to feature voice acting. The casting has yet to be unveiled, though.
