'Project X' revealed!

Today at Tokyo Game Show, Namco confirmed Project X as a Playstation 2 RPG titled Xenosaga. Created by Monolith Soft (the team behind Square's 1998 acclaimed RPG, Xenogears), and headed by Tetsuya Takahashi, Xenosaga will be released this winter in Japan.

Furthermore, Yasunori Mitsuda, who composed the music for Xenogears (as well as Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross), will compose the music for Xenosaga. There are no further details yet, and no confirmation that Xenosaga will have any relation to Xenogears.

There has been no media shown for Xenosaga as of yet, as Namco is planning a 'formal unveiling' of the game on July 8, to approximately 600 attendees.
