E3: Game Boy Advance RPGs US Bound!

In more E3 related news, Nintendo of America announced several Game Boy Advance (GBA) RPGs for release in the US. Of these three, Golden Sun and Advance Wars have already been announced in Japan. However, in what could be considered as somewhat of a surprise, Breath of Fire II, which has never been previously confirmed, is listed with a TBA release date.

Advance Wars, a Strategy RPG, has been given a September 10th, 2001 release date. Advance Wars gives the gamer a chance to rally troops in a series of challenging, and story-driven gameplay elements. With more than 100 maps and strategy-based unit deployment that is affected by terrain, climate, and firepower, Advance Wars appears to be a promising title on the GBA.

In Golden Sun, an RPG by Camelot, you embark on a quest to recover a powerful artifact that was stolen from your secluded village, which now threatens the world with absolute destruction. In order to gather the four elements - fire, water, wind, and earth, you have to use your psychic powers and magical spells. By using these abilities in different combinations, you can master new, more complex spells. Golden Sun is scheduled for a October 2001 release date.

No other information regarding Breath of Fire II for the GBA has been released, but be sure that RPGFan will keep you updated as more information is reveiled!
