Rockman EXE 2 Announcement Announced

Though Megaman Battle Network (known as Rockman EXE in Japan) isn't even out in the US yet, a sequel is in the works, apparently being titled Rockman EXE 2, of all things.

The World Hobby Fair is being held in Japan on June 23, and Capcom will be there to announce the Game Boy Advance sequel. In addition to the announcement, showgoers will have the opportunity to design boss characters for the game, and one winner will have his or her creation put in the game.

Random factoid: Knight Man and Wind Man from Mega Man 6 were derived from fans' minds too, through a contest held in Nintendo Power years ago.

Finally, in what seems like a Pokémon-style giveaway, Capcom will hold a contest where winners can download a special character (said character being Forte, from Mega Man 7 & 8) onto their original Rockman EXE carts.

In the meantime, North American gamers will get to play the first game when its released here September 5. Check out our screen shots and artwork from the links below.
