SquareSoft's Predictions for FFX Sales
Hiroshi Suzuki, president of SquareSoft, in an interview with Bloomberg Japan recently announced its sales predictions for the upcoming Final Fantasy X. Suzuki expects to ship 2 million copies of the latest game in the series when it releases on July 19th in Japan. Total Japan sales are predicted to be over 4 million units, while worldwide sales are expected to exceed 10 million units. All previous Final Fantasy games combined have sold over 33 million units copies worldwide.
Suzuki also reported that the subsidiary company being created by SquareSoft, Namco, and Enix is moving ahead on schedule, and that its first network products will be available early next year.
