Details on Final Fantasy Movie Action Figures
Merchandising, where the real money from the picture is made. Palisades Marketing knows this only too well: they'll be releasing 12-inch action figures based on characters from Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within to be released in theaters July 11th.
General Hein, Gray Edwards, Dr. Sid, and Aki Ross will all appear in miniature forms (though most likely without kung-fu grip) and will retail at $19.99 US at Toys "R" Us and $24.99 US at specialty and comic stores.
Of course, what would merchandising be without limited edition collectors items? Jane Proudfoot, to be available only through Toys "R" Us and Ryan Whittaker, available for order from ToyFare magazine, will be released in limited quantities for all the collectors out there.
Palisades Marketing also plans to release highly detailed figurines of Aki Ross and Gray Edwards later this Fall, to be available at many different outlets.
