With one new installment released and three side games in the works, the Sakura Taisen franchise is nowhere near its final days. One of the new games announced is Sakura Taisen GB 2, a sequel to the GBC game that enabled the player to join the Hanagumi for a month.Sakura Taisen GB2: Operation Thunderbolt will this time focus on battles. Playing as a member of the Hanagumi, the player will have to bring back the Majinki with the help of the airship Mikasa. Significant changes include the battle mode, which is now viewed from the side in a more traditional RPG fashion. Also, the combined attacks and protection might be usable in this new version.
Sakura Taisen GB 2: Operation Thunderbolt will be available on December 6th in Japan. Don't even hope for a western release.
