Weekly Famitsu's Most Wanted Games

Well, well ladies and gentlemen, just yesterday I have returned from the Land of the Rising Sun, and among other things I brought with me a copy of the world's most popular videogame magazine, Weekly Famitsu.

A glance at the magazine's recent Most Wanted list has proven it once again: Japan is still the
land of RPGs and dating sims. Among the 10 most wanted games are such titles as Sakura Taisen 4, Enix's Star Ocean 3, Final Fantasy III for Bandai's Wonderswan Color and Final Fantasy XI. Also quite surprising, considering the console has never sold well in Japan, and Sega already stopped its production in March, the two top spots are held by games for Sega Dreamcast.

Below you will find the TOP 20 (only games covered by RPGFan) of the recent Famitsu issue:

1) Shenmue II, Dreamcast, Sega AM2
2) Sakura Taisen 4, Dreamcast, Overworks
4) Star Ocean 3, PlayStation 2, Enix
6) Final Fantasy XI, PlayStation 2, Square
7) Super Robot Wars A, PlayStation 2, Banpresto
8) Final Fantasy III, WonderSwan Color, Square
12) Xenosaga Episode I: Der Wille zur Macht, PlayStation 2, Monolith
13) AIR, Dreamcast, NEC Interchannel
18) Genso Suikoden 3, PlayStation 2, Konami
20) Super Robot Wars Alpha, Dreamcast, Banpresto
