Phantasy Star Online to See PC Release

To capitalize on the surging popularity of Phantasy Star Online, and the upcoming GameCube version, Sonic Team has decided to release a PC port of PSO . This version of the online RPG will apparently take advantage of the additional abilities of modern PC hardware in order to enhance its appearance. In addition, Chinese and Korean have been added to the available selection of languages in the game to take advantage of the mostly un-tapped Asian market. Despite the fact that Phantasy Star Online Version 2 has been released, it appears the PC version will be called just Phantasy Star Online.

The PC version of PSO will be shown on Sept. 22 at the World PC Expo 2001 and is currently slated for release by the "end of the year."
