Final Fantasy X Confirmed for January Stateside Release

The much-anticipated Squaresoft RPG, Final Fantasy X, has been officially announced for a January 2002 release in the US.

Also announced were the voice-actors for Tidus (James Arnold Taylor) and Yuna (Hedy Burress.) As almost all the dialogue in the game is narrated with voice, the careful selection of actors has been a major concern. As both announced voice-actors have previous professional experience, the future of Final Fantasy X's dialogue is looking a bit brighter. Given that most Japanese reviewers classified the voices used in the Japanese version as "slightly amateurish," it is reassuring to know that the stateside release will make efforts to fix that.
