Legend of Alon D'ar Info and Media Update

As previously reported, the official Alon D'ar website has been up and running since October 22nd. Apart from info on background story and characters, the site also offers you screenshots and character designs.

The setting for Alon D'ar's story is the post-apocalyptic world of Chandar. Once upon a time the planet's core was destroyed and its entire civilization was almost wiped out. Luckily for the few survivors, this catastrophe gave birth to the Floating Worlds, islands floating above the hot core. Thanks to the power of the Wyrd these islands keep hovering above the chaos beneath, allowing four civilizations to come into existence; the Kemarrans, the Sarojin, the Dagan and the Orin.

This is the tragic background story for the epic adventure of Jarik. Born in Orin, he was abandoned by his original parents and raised by caring peasant parents instead. As time passed, Jarik became a decent warrior, but after the death of his peasant parents, he was banned from his village for training with fellow young men of nobler blood.

Tylonne, the female lead, is described as cool and reserved. In battle, this female warrior can count on the help of Yil, her dragonet sidekick, which serves as her magical protector.

Tahir, is a green-skinned warrior from the swamp region of Dagan. Like every other inhabitant of Dagan, he is highly suspicious of pretty much everything coming from outside his home country. Once he has sworn loyalty to a certain person or cause however, Tahir can be entirely counted on. He seems to be the tall, strong and good-hearted warrior character of the game.

Last, but not least, there is Sundeep, a respected mage from Sarojin. At the age of 96 (which is early middle age for a Sarojin), he has acquired a lot of wisdom regarding the power of the Wyrd.

Whether additional characters will join these four remains to be seen.
