With the release of UbiSoft’s newest PlayStation 2 RPG a little over a month away, RPGFan has gotten a hold of a handful of English screen shots from Jade Cocoon 2. You can check them out here. If you didn’t already know, Jade Cocoon 2 takes place centuries after the first game. Jade Cocoon 2 tells the story of a deadly parasite called Kalma. Playing the roll of Kahu, a Cocoon Master, you must brave four elementally themed forests and seek the Orbs of past Cocoon Masters, before Kalma overtakes himself and the earth. Also, Jade Cocoon 2’s combat system will allow you to create an army from over 200 species of monsters. The game will allow you to capture these monsters and allow you to create many different types of monsters by crossbreeding them. Allowing you 8 monsters in a battle at a time, Jade Cocoon 2 is turning out to be a much better game then its predecessor, well it at least looks that way. Jade Cocoon 2 is currently scheduled for a December 18th release date.
