Shadowbane Info And Images

Currently scheduled for release at some point in the second quarter of 2002, Wolfpack's fantasy MMORPG Shadowbane will offer a unique twist on the rapidly growing world of online role-playing with its mix of RPG and real-time strategy elements. The first MMORPG to combine these two genres, Shadowbane is also treading new ground with its dynamic world design model, introducing gamers to a whole new level of influence over the evolution of the game world. The actions players take can have deeply rooted effects with regards to the world's historical, political and physical landscapes. From raising armies, building strongholds and laying waste to extensive territories with tactical warfare to legal, political and social wranglings via a justice, economic and guild system framework, players can exert their influence on an unprecedented number of facets of the game world.

Rivaling the level of customization of its world, Shadowbane offers an extensive set of options for character creation as well. Between its 10 races, 22 character classes, and 20 disciplines for multiclassing, players can fine tune their characters to best suit their play styles and personalities. With the real-time stats system, in which game and character information is relayed to participating fan sites, keeping tabs on the progress of these highly customizable characters is made easy.

While the game is currently in closed beta testing, Shadowbane will go through an open beta phase during the second quarter of 2002 prior to its release.
