New Final Fantasy XI Details

The eleventh installment of Square's heralded RPG series will not only mark a departure from previous games by being the first online-only Final Fantasy, but also being the first not to feature the trademark random battle encounters. Monsters and enemies will be visible, so the player can choose to avoid them if they please. The battles themselves will be in real-time, contrary to the turn-based Active Time Battles of the previous installments. Commands like (standard) attack, magic and item can be accessed any time via pop-up menus.
