Released two years ago in Japan, the PC version of Lunar: Silver Star Story had been announced for domestic release by Working Designs. However, it was announced today that the localization has been cancelled. According to Working Designs' official website, "The main problem was that a version of the software that was stable enough to meet our standards could not be delivered to us." Consequently, the special premium item created for the occasion, the Alex puppet, will not be produced after all.
However, as revealed a few weeks ago, the PlayStation version of Lunar will be re-released in late January at the price of $35. No special goods or extras this time, although the game will feature new disc art by a fan artist.
Readers interested in playing Lunar on their computer can still import the Japanese version, released at the low price of 2980 yen (about $22).
