Namco has announced that Xenosaga Episode 1: The Will to Power will ship on one dual-layer DVD, instead of two single-layer discs as originally planned. This media change however, won't effect either the game's content or release date.Furthermore, it was announced that pre-orders at the Japanese retail chain Digicube will be rewarded with a special music CD.
Developed by Namco subsidiary Monolith Soft, Xenosaga Episode 1: Der Wille zur Macht is still scheduled for a February 28th release in Japan. A US version is expected to follow by the end of the year.
