Square has opened up the official website for its upcoming RPG Kingdom Hearts. Apart from the already known story and character information, the site sheds some light onto the game's battle system.
Similar to Square's flagship series Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts will feature magic and summon spells. While so far only two summon spells are confirmed, magic spells will be categorized in well-known FF style: fire, fira and firaga. Mushu and Dumbo are the two summons, which are set to appear in the game so far.
Players can collect gumi blocks throughout the game to construct a transport vehicle called Gumiship out of them.
Last but not least, you will encounter two types of Heartless; Soldiers and Shadows.
Kingdom Hearts is scheduled for a March 2002 release in Japan. Square EA LLC currently lists the US version for a Fall 2002 release.
