Already released on December 20th for PlayStation 2, very few gamers probably have taken notice of Arc System Works' Digital Holmes. Dubbed as a tactical talk adventure by its creators, the game takes place in London, which is pretty obvious considering its title.
The player assumes the role of 26 year old Scotland Yard assistant inspector R. Watson. One day, Watson receives a hint from Tom, a hacker hunter, who stumbled across an e-mail of interesting content. Scheduled for tonight, a meeting of an international criminal organization, "Ib," is scheduled. Despite being aware of a trap, Watson is on his way to the place, only to encounter his older brother. The inspector is only more dazzled, when he sees his brother leaving after saying, "When I tell you I'm a ghost, do you believe me?"
Gameplay-wise, Digital Holmes' main feature is the so cold Tactical Talk mode, which is used to persuade or obtain information from your conversation partner by selecting the right option.
