SoftMax recently mentioned that they hoped to port their PC RPG, Magna Carta, to the PS2 in the near future. The Korean company didn't indicate whether they plan on fielding the responsibility of a port to a Japanese developer or if they will be doing this themselves, only that their plans require them to raise quite a bit of money. Also no word yet if this means the game will be translated into Japanese for the PS2 release, though the prospect seems extremely likely.
Magna Carta was released in Korea in December; there's currently no tentative date set for the PS2 port. Those hoping for an English translation should find this a bright spot in their day.
