Mimesis Online Info

The free client for Tannhauser Gate’s MMORPG, Mimesis Online, is currently downloadable at FilePlanet.com. In the game, you choose one of two races after a “Great Cataclysm” flings the two species onto the same planet. The two are now at war for survival, and the player assumes the role of a character thrust into the middle of this war.

Every land in Mimesis Online is indicative of which races live there. You will find clothing, architecture, and even armor and weaponry that are exclusive to each race. As you begin the game, you are prompted to choose either a human or a Hirudon. Humans are stronger and faster, but Hirudons are more adept at using magic. However, the magic system had not been installed in the game as of this writing.

Combat in Mimesis is quite simple because of this lack of magic; the player will lock on to the nearest enemy and a click of the mouse will result in the player using the attack selected.

The multi-player aspect of Mimesis Online adds a unique twist: as the player kills other players online, their fame attribute decreases. When this fame attribute decreases too much, the player will be considered an outlaw, and will be hunted down by ‘Sentinels,’ the police force of the game's online world.
