Enix's first PC online RPG, Cross Gate, was released on July 26th 2001 in Japan, retailing for 8,800yen (66.85USD).Themed after medieval Europe, Cross Gate features a world of might and magic. You choose one out of 14 characters, each with four different colored designs. The game's turn-based battle system allows parties of up to five characters. Players have a maximum of 30 seconds to enter a command at their turn. It is possible to contact fellow players via chat and e-mail during the game.
As with Depth Fantasia, you pay for 30, 60, 90 or 180 days of playing time. Thirty days cost you 1,050yen ($7.98USD), 60 days 2000yen ($15.19USD), 90 days 2800yen ($21.27USD) and 180 days 5000yen ($37.98USD).
