The expansion will not only feature new planes of existence to the game, but a new city to explore, and a new world to be discovered. Although the expansion will not feature new professions, it will implement a "profession specialization" for the player's character. At certain areas of the game, the players will be able to choose what areas their characters will excel in, while still keeping their original abilities.

A special 'perk' system will also be introduced. 'Perks' are earned through quests or by following special instructions, and can be used to augment your skills or provide special abilities.

Funcom hopes to release the expansion pack by Christmas of 2002.
